I was on a walk when I noticed ashes. What would I burn ? We burn stuff that we really don’t want anymore, that we wish they’d disappear. And just like that, fear came to my mind.
I think I would burn fear. Although fear can’t be burned, I’m glad I am free enough to think beyond that kind of limitations. Then I started specualting : what would life be like without it, what people who had never known it would think of it ?
And so I placed a sign where “the last fear was burnt” in some act of fiction.
For a moment I made it real and that place became historical. And for a moment there was no fear in the world. Perhaps that moment can inadvertantly happen for the viewers too.
